The VSC is Evolving…

At the VSC, staying connected to community while at home has been a centerpiece of the work we’ve done for over 11 years. We’ve grown from a group of 30 older adults to 300 across NYC to now over 1000 across the United States. Consistently, we have evolved our support to make connections through thoughtful technologic solutions.

We are excited to announce two ways the Virtual Senior Center is evolving to meet the needs of our members across the country. We are: (1) launching a refresh of our VSC website and (2) a Mobile Application that will be available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Both will launch in October and make it even easier for community members to stay connected.

Stay tuned to our LinkedIn and website for more information.

A Refresh of the Virtual Senior Center Website

  • Updated design - brighter colors, bigger fonts, and streamlined look to improve the VSC experience.

  • The same great features including live classes, curated links and games, and on-demand class recordings.

  • Dedicated News - have access to a range of news articles that update every hour.

  • Introducing Private Video Chats for members - a secure, in-platform video chat integration that allows members to schedule video chats with anyone on the platform.

  • The same WCAG 2.0 compliant design that has older adults in mind.

VSC Mobile App

We’re making it even easier for older adults to stay connected to the classes and community they love with our new Mobile App.

  • Available for both Android and Apple (iOS) devices.

  • One-stop app design - no need to download or switch between additional web browsers or video chat applications. All classes and curated links will open within the app for easy viewing and navigating.
