An American in Paris is a musical play incorporating songs from George and Ira Gershwin. The musical won four Tony Awards. The setting is Paris, 1945, at the end of the Second World War.

Maddie Gwinner is a junior at the University of Arkansas, majoring in Political Science and International Relations. Outside of the VSC, she’s on the Arkansas Alpha Delta Pi’s executive board and Vice President of her university’s Mock Trial program. Maddie has been performing in musicals for as long as she’s been able to walk, and she’s excited to share her passion for classic Broadway shows!
