Arts | Museum at Eldridge: Christmas & Chanukah: A Century of Change w/ Scott B.

Two of the most popular holidays on the calendar are Christmas & Chanukah, which have been linked over the past century. We know them as celebrations with festive songs, gifts, decorations, & games that appeal to folks of all ages, but they were not always so commercial and family-oriented.

Join us to discover how Christmas and Chanukah and the Christian and Jewish communities have fed off each other and evolved into the season-encompassing phenomena they are today. Scott is the Senior Mgr for Education & Accessibility at the Museum at Eldridge Street. As a historian, museum educator,& lifelong New Yorker, he loves to bring the history of his native city to life.

In his current position, Scott plans & leads the intensive CASA program, creates new educational content and public programs, and develops new access programs to ensure the Museum engages all audiences. He was a senior educator at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum & has an M.A. in History.
