History | Pumpkins: Their History & Food Traditions w/ Denise L.

Pumpkins have a long and glorious history. Being one of the oldest crops in America, we’ll talk about how pumpkins have become a part of our kitchens and our traditions.

Denise worked as a librarian in various libraries for 35+ years, retiring in 2018. After retiring, she wanted to get more involved with her community, so she now volunteers at her local Senior Center, school lunch program, and various other organizations, including the VSC! When she's not volunteering, Denise spends time with family, reading, crocheting, and cooking.
